We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for Massage Therapy clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical administration procedures, and proficiency in billing insurance companies, such as Blue Cross etc. The Medical Receptionist will ensure smooth daily operations, coordinate patient appointments, and support clinical staff as needed.
Duties
Successful candidates MUST already be thoroughly trained in our online billing and scheduling software, "PRACTICE PERFECT"
You will greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using systems
Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
Coordinate appointment scheduling with clinical staff to optimize workflow
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Support clinical staff with administrative needs related to patient care, and other tasks including laundry, when possible
You wil be responsible for creating and posting regular Social Media messages for our communities
Qualifications
MUST BE ALREADY TRAINED ON "PRACTICE PERFECT" INSURANCE BILLING SOFTWARE
Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist preferred
Experience working in a healthcare environment,
preferably a Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy or Chiropractic Clinic
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
