Responsibilities:
Schedule management, book and confirm patient appointments
Fax triaging and maintaining/reporting wait times including patient volume
Chart preparation with correct demographics and information required for physician to conduct appointments
Answer phone calls, respond to e-mails and communicate in a timely and accurate manner
Able to maintain and organize physician's schedule including ability to accommodate to on-call schedule, wait-list and no-show management
Greet patients and provide excellent customer service
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
Coordinate patient referrals and communicate with other healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with healthcare, hospital regulations and clinic policies
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Required skills and experience:
Medical office experience
Cardiology practice experience is an asset
Demonstrated high quality, compassionate, customer-centred experience
Proven ability to work proficiently and independently in a busy fast paced environment
Ability to establish priorities and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior telephone etiquette
Strong understanding of medical terminology
Proficiency in technology including MS Office
EMR systems experience
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of privacy and diplomacy
Fluency in Farsi/Persian an asset
