From health-care-provider interactions and developing and implementing regulatory strategies with Health Canada to providing medical education and collecting data to support evidence and new product development, CMR is involved. The Medical Operations team, consisting of Customer Care, Medical Information, Medical Education, Medical Training, Grants and Donations, and Medical Omnichannel, is focused on building excellence and delivering value for the organization and our healthcare ecosystem customers.THE POSITIONThe Medical Omni-Channel Engagement Manager is responsible for managing a medical engagement strategy and recommending digital multi- and omni-channel communication activities to facilitate growth of customer relationships across all channels. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an integrated customer strategy and leverage scientific data, HCP data, and medical activity data to inform activities & optimize performance - and continually seek to understand omni-channel engagement impact.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYMedical Omni-Channel Engagement

  • Leads the development of Medical omni-channel engagement plans that are aligned with Medical Affairs therapy area strategies and objectives
  • Leverages healthcare industry, therapeutic area and omni-channel expertise to develop, execute and evaluate the impact of strategies and tactics
  • Works collaboratively with Medical Affairs therapeutic area teams, marketing, IT, global, and other internal functions and external partners as required in the development, execution and measurement of strategies and tactics
  • Develops systems, procedures & processes to optimize MA omnichannel engagement including utilization of data to analyze and measure the effectiveness of medical omnichannel engagement efforts
  • Provides clear direction to vendors, agencies or consultants
  • Presents omni-channel engagement results and makes recommendations based on analysis. Monitors and follows up on key performance indicators
  • Stays current on developments within the omni-channel / digital arena (strategy, tactics, IT platforms, etc) and makes recommendations to key internal stakeholders as appropriate. Leads the implementation of relevant developments through strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Conference Management
  • Leads the development and execution of a conference plan for Medical Affairs therapy area teams that balances the needs of all therapeutic areas and stays within the allocated budget
  • Identifies appropriate conferences and makes recommendations to the brand teams with regards to where and what level of presence at each conference would be appropriate
  • Manage the cross-functional team to ensure flawless execution of agreed upon plan
  • Negotiate and manage external organizations and vendors to ensure appropriate level of sponsorship, booth location and other details
  • Stays abreast of new opportunities for sponsorship and increased NNCI presence at conferences
  • Ensures conference activities align to and maximize opportunities associated with overall NNCI omni-channel strategy
Additional Responsibilities
  • Creates and manages yearly project budget and tracks monthly
  • Ad-hoc requests or special projects as required
KEY COMPLIANCEComplies with all Canadian external policies (Health Canada, IMC, BIOTEC Canada, etc.) and governance as well as Novo Nordisk BECF (Business Ethics Compliance Framework), SOPs, policies, procedures, vision and ways of workingEDUCATION (Minimum Requirements)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Bioscience, Lifesciences, Biotechnology or equivalent in relevant area. Master\'s degree in related science areas or MBA preferred
Preferred Education Requirement:
  • Master\'s/MBA
EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry
  • Strong project management skills and experience in managing cross-functional and complex projects
  • Ability to work in a matrix structure, taking into account multiple stakeholders\' needs
  • Manages business complexity: Acts as a positive, flexible, results-oriented team member in the face of change and business complexity
  • Strong data and analytic skills and inclination toward using digital solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, formal presentations)
  • Drives performance: Consistently meets or exceeds performance and behavioural expectations; works effectively and efficiently (independently and with others) to meet deadlines, commitments and objectives
  • Shares information and works effectively with all colleagues and customers (internal, external, outside of function) striving for the best ways to collaborate and accomplish shared objectives
Preferred Experience Requirement:
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical company preferably in Medical Affairs
