We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both medical and dental office environments, demonstrating proficiency in managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining a high standard of patient service while optimizing office efficiency.
Duties
Supervise and manage office staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Oversee patient scheduling, billing processes, and insurance verification.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Implement and monitor office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care and compliance with medical standards.
Utilize MED ACCESS EMR software for medial Office management when applicable.
Ensure the office is compliant with health regulations and standards of care.
Provide support in human resources functions including staff recruitment and training.
Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to assist in communication between staff and patients.
Requirements
Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting; prior hospital experience is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; experience MED ACCESS EMR highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Skills in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare context.
Background in nursing or acute care is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Able to support QI -projects and manage electronic payroll and electronic and traditional paper bill payments
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
