Preventous Collaborative Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated
Back-End Medical Office Assistant (MOA)
to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role is essential in supporting smooth clinical operations, assisting providers, and ensuring an exceptional experience for both patients and staff.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to excellence in patient-centered, preventative healthcare. While the primary focus is on
administrative and clinical coordination
, candidates with
Medical Lab Assistant (MLA)
skills such as phlebotomy or ECGs will be considered a strong asset.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are ideally looking to hire someone who has
2 or more years of experience working as MOA
, with a positive attitude towards learning and a coaching mindset. Salary range will reflect skills and experience accordingly.
Support providers by managing patient flow, rooming patients, and maintaining clinic efficiency.
Prepare patient charts and ensure all medical and demographic information is complete and accurate in the EMR (MedAccess experience preferred).
Taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight).
Review, triage, and action incoming faxes, results, and provider messages in a timely manner.
Communicate test results and physician instructions to patients as directed.
Coordinate with front reception, nursing, and clinical teams to optimize daily schedules.
Maintain inventory levels and alert relevant staff when supplies need replenishment.
Request medication samples and coordinate with pharmaceutical representatives as needed.
Compile and send Total Health Assessment Reports to patients.
Ensure exam rooms areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Assisting with sterilization of instruments and maintaining biohazard bins.
Support the implementation of clinic policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
Bonus - Clinical (MLA) Duties:
Candidates with MLA experience will have the opportunity to contribute additional clinical support such as:
Performing blood draws and specimen collection following lab protocols
Performing ECGs as required.
Qualifications:
Medical Office Assistant diploma
preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience
in a clinical or medical setting.
Proficient in EMR systems;
MedAccess
and
NetCare
experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a busy environment.
Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor.
Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Passionate about
preventative health and collaborative care
.
Phlebotomy certification
or MLA training an asset.
