About the Opportunity

Our team is seeking applicants for the position of Medical Laboratory Technologists. Hours of work and work locations vary throughout the province.
Our
Medical Laboratory Technologists
(MLT) works in collaboration with all members of the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine team to conduct diagnostic analytical laboratory tests and procedures to using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques.
The MLT ensures that the principles and practices that guide our work such as the mission, vision, values, expected behaviors, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the services they provide and through the messages they deliver.
About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Graduate from an approved program in Medical Laboratory Technologist
Must be eligible or licensed with NSCMLT and eligible or registered with CSMLS
Strong client focus and ability to build solid healthcare client/practitioner relationships
Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
Ability to work effectively both independently and within an interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated accountability, judgment and decision making skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Self-directed with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Demonstrated planning, organization, prioritization and time management skills
Demonstrated commitment to self-learning and continuous professional development
Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
Good attendance and work record in current and past employment
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Successful Applicants are required to provide a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to Human Resources before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment

Permanent full-time positions; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives

$33.20 - $41.44 hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
