Job Description

Job Summary:

The Medical Editor acts as the subject matter expert on assigned accounts and is responsible for the content development and editing of the medical, scientific, or marketing content of pharmaceutical training programs.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

  • Works closely with assigned Medical Writer(s) to develop training content according to client specifications
  • Trains, coaches, and provides constructive feedback to Medical Writers to ensure that project standards are met and to promote their development and growth
  • Edits training content for medical and scientific accuracy and relevance
  • Interacts with clients to ensure training content meets their strategic business need
  • Collaborates with Project Managers throughout the project life cycle, including mapping out project specifications and ensuring the content budget is maintained
  • Ensures the overall quality and uniformity of writing and instructional design of all projects
  • Ensures that established style guides, review procedures, and quality assurance steps are followed
  • Prepares content outlines and training design documents
  • Contributes to proposals to develop training solutions and provide scope assessments on assigned accounts
  • Assists in carrying out various duties as requested by Content management
Requirements:
  • MSc, PhD, PharmD, or MD in Medical/Life Sciences field or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in medical or scientific editing in a client-facing role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Outstanding proficiency in English (both written and oral); working knowledge of French
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (advanced)
  • Ability to travel occasionally (valid passport)

  • Modifie le contenu de la formation pour laEUR(TM)exactitude et la pertinence medicales et scientifiques
  • Interagit avec les clients pour saEUR(TM)assurer que le contenu de formation repond a leurs besoins operationnels strategiques
  • Collabore avec les gestionnaires de projet tout au long du cycle de vie du projet, y compris la cartographie des specifications du projet et la garantie que le budget de contenu est maintenu
  • Assure la qualite et laEUR(TM)uniformite globales de la redaction et de la conception pedagogique de tous les projets
  • SaEUR(TM)assure que les guides de style, les procedures daEUR(TM)examen et les etapes daEUR(TM)assurance de la qualite etablis sont suivis
  • Preparer les plans de contenu et les documents de conception de la formation
  • Contribuer aux propositions visant a elaborer des solutions de formation et a fournir des evaluations de la portee des comptes attribues
  • Aide a laEUR(TM)execution de diverses taches a la demande de la gestion de contenu
Exigences :
  • MSc, PhD, PharmD, ou MD dans le domaine medical / sciences de la vie ou laEUR(TM)equivalent
  • Minimum de 3 ans daEUR(TM)experience dans laEUR(TM)edition medicale ou scientifique dans un rale de client au sein de laEUR(TM)industrie pharmaceutique
  • Maatrise exceptionnelle de laEUR(TM)anglais (a laEUR(TM)ecrit et a laEUR(TM)oral); connaissance pratique du franaais
  • Competences en informatique : Microsoft Office (avance)
  • Possibilite de voyager occasionnellement (passeport valide)
