Adecco is hiring Medical Device Assembler - Operator for our client in the Healthcare Industry in Ottawa, ON. This position is responsible for the production of high quality medical devices within a manufacturing environment * Shifts: 6:30AM - 6:30PM

• Job type: Ongoing assignment
• Location: Ottawa, ON

Responsibilities: * The role of the assembler is to assemble and inspect devices according to the approved manufacturing protocols.

• You will be responsible for following written protocols, operating testing equipment, using measuring tools and assemble parts
• You will be using such tools as rulers, calipers and magnifying glasses. You must possess good hand eye coordination as you are dealing with very small parts.
• Inspect and monitor quality and line performance in accordance with documented procedures
• Manually inspect and process rejects from the automated vision system determining pass/fail per process procedures
• Some electronic or mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred
• Regular interaction with other peers, supervisors, manufacturing engineers and technicians

Qualifications: * Medical Device manufacturing experience is an asset

• Canadian High School Diploma / Degree or WES certified postsecondary is required
• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to pass a dexterity test and a vision test
• Good mechanical aptitude and good organizational skills
• Previous experience with automated equipment would be an asset
• Available to work a 12-hour 4x4 shift rotation
• Must be able to work at a very fast pace, lots of running around the Assembly lines addressing machine faults and jams
• Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, organization and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work in a high pressure, target oriented environment
• Be comfortable with full gowning/clean room
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
