Medical Aesthetician & Laser Technician
who is passionate about patient care, skincare, and laser technology to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic care team. This hands-on role combines
customer service duties
,
medical aesthetics, skincare, and advanced laser treatments
in a professional, patient-focused clinic environment. In this role, you will provide exceptional care and advanced aesthetic services to our clients, enhancing their beauty and confidence. You'll be at the forefront of innovative treatments, utilizing cutting-edge technology while ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all clients.
What you'll do
Perform advanced skin and laser treatments including
such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, micro needling, and post-procedure recovery facials.
Assess patients' skin types and conditions, recommending customized treatment plans and skincare regimen.
Educate patients on
pre- and post-treatment care
, sun protection, and ongoing maintenance using medical-grade skincare lines.
Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness, safety, and sterilization in compliance with
CPSA and Health Canada standards
.
Assist physicians and nurses during
cosmetic and minor dermatologic procedures
, including patient prep, topical anesthetic application, and post-procedure care.
Operate and maintain laser devices and aesthetic equipment, ensuring regular calibration, maintenance, and safety checks.
Deliver outstanding customer service by building rapport with clients and understanding their unique needs.
Utilize salon software, including JANE for scheduling appointments and managing client records efficiently.
Maintain strict sanitation protocols to uphold a clean and safe treatment environment.
Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement treatments and meet client needs.
Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve service offerings.
Facilitate communication between patients and health care professionals
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
As needed - Patient service - greeting & checking in patients
As needed - Patient registration, appointment bookings, re-bookings, confirming appointments, and ensuring that all phone calls, emails and other forms of communication, queries and concerns are answered and re-directed as necessary
Qualifications & Requirements
Certified
Medical Aesthetician
with
Laser Technician certification
(recognized training institution).
Minimum
2 years of experience
in esthetic laser treatments, various beauty services and medical spa experience
Strong understanding of
skin anatomy, laser physics, and contraindications
.
Demonstrated commitment to
patient safety, care quality, and infection control
standards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Med Access, JANE or equivalent).
Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends as clinic schedules require.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with salon software systems like JANE
Experience in Medical Spa
