What You'll do
As an Account Executive (AE), you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities and responding to local Toronto leads. You will be responsible for prospecting, and executing sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and tailored strategies that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for sales, a love for Toronto and a competitive drive to exceed goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify leads from various sources (e.g., inbound inquiries, outbound emails, LinkedIn, events, etc.);
Conduct outbound prospecting to target accounts to create sales opportunities;
Schedule and host qualified meetings and demonstrations showcasing the strength of our publications & their array of products.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets;
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of blogTO, Curiocity, OFFSIDE, Dished, CULTR and Daily Hive and their value propositions;
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Understand clients' business objectives and provide strategic media solutions that align with their goals;
Use CRM tools (Ad Orbit) to track activities, progress, and prospect interactions;
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions. Use this knowledge to position our products effectively and identify new business opportunities;
How You Succeed:
Proven track record in outbound sales, business development, or sales;
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to offer a 'white glove' experience to prospects through the sales process and beyond;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus;
Motivated self-starter with a results-oriented mindset;
Ability to quickly learn and understand technical products and solutions;
A creative & consultative mindset. The ability to understand a client's needs, collaborate with them, and provide timely solutions is what will set this candidate apart.
