SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is assisting a major automotive OEM in hiring a Mechatronics - Sunroof Engineers Adaptation to join our growing team in Windsor,ON.

This position requires frequent travel to the USA; candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or have the ability to work in the USA.


  • Responsible for engineering, design, development, validation, timing, and production release of Power Tops, Sunroofs, and Drain Tubes.
  • End-to-end ownership of components, ensuring alignment with vehicle functional objectives.
  • Component design, development, and packaging.
  • Conduct Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR) testing.
  • Manage changes to components and designs.
  • Maintain bill of materials.
  • Provide support for prototype and production builds.
  • Manage issues related to components.
  • Handle CAD model management using Teamcenter.
  • Drive initiatives for weight reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
  • Communicate technical product status to management.
  • Support vehicle assembly plants with product technical issues.
  • Assist service teams with field warranty issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of failures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program. Minimum 2 years design, release, and CAD packaging experience.
  • Release experience in both Mechanical and electrical components.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and database applications).
