Design Developments Ltd is a small technical consulting / Engineering company that has provided advanced technical services in the Mechanical, Industrial, Staging and Architectural industries for over 30 years. With many years experience throughout a variety of projects and at all project phases, we leverage knowledge, organization, relationships and technology to provide proven value-added services for plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Electrical, R&D, Environment and Safety.

We are looking for a Mechanical Technologist/Designer to join our team and help with innovative & technical services for the Industrial, Mechanical, Architectural and Staging industries. We currently design and manage over 60,000 drawings and 3D models. The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years in 3D modeling with 3D scanning, 3D printing, GNSS & drone experience as a benefit. The successful candidate will work with our clients to develop project scope, site reality capture services, preliminary 3D design models, 3D prints, final design and budgets, final fabrication drawings and review of installation.

Responsibilities:

Equipment design, modelling and drawings. Site review, scope development and project/task management. Design mechanical components and systems. Create detailed drawings and schematics of mechanical components and systems. Analyze and evaluate mechanical designs for efficiency, cost, and safety. FEA and component Engineering review. Test and troubleshoot mechanical components and systems. Develop design specifications for mechanical components and systems. 3D print preliminary design models for team meetings. Provide technical support to other departments. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in mechanical design & technologies. Manage over 60,000 models and drawings 3D scanning, 360 photos, photogrammetry, GNSS surveying & site mapping Drone flights to create 3D point clouds and aerial master models Integrate 3D equipment designs into 3D point clouds for new projects.

Pay: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
