? Bionic Power Inc. is a Vancouver-based company developing (and selling all over the world) a lightweight, high-mobility smart orthosis, or
wearable robotics
for the medical market.
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of people with walking disabilities?
Do you want to get in on the ground floor of the
rapidly growing
medical exoskeleton field?
Assistive exoskeleton technology has shown great promise for gait rehabilitation. Currently, almost 50% of children with CP will lose the ability to walk in adulthood - we aim to change this and improve the lives of a marginalized community. The medical exoskeleton market is expanding rapidly and is expected to grow by 30% annually. Bionic Power is looking for a mechanical technician/assembler to join our growing Vancouver team.
Bionic Power develops light-weight medical technology similar to exoskeletons. Our first commercial device, the Agilik, is a smart, powered orthosis (or brace) that helps children and adults with gait difficulties through its innovative powered knee joint. Clinical trials and patients show success in children with Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida. It is also used successfully in hemiparesis due to stroke and Polio. It is registered as a Class 1 medical device in Canada, the US, Australia, the UK and Europe with sales in all those regions. We are now hard at work on a second-generation device and need to expand our team.
We have a small, dedicated team in our Vancouver facility and are looking to build out our production and prototyping capabilities. We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on technician for a starting position with a growing company.
