Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Coordinator to join our high-rise construction team. You will oversee the design review, coordination, and installation of all building mechanical and plumbing systems, including HVAC, hydronic, fire protection, storm, and domestic water.
Key Responsibilities
Review and coordinate mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC shop drawings. Oversee installation of boilers, pumps, ERVs, and mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with BC Plumbing Code, NFPA-13, ASHRAE, and NECB. Manage smoke control and pressurization systems. Liaise with consultants, trades, and inspectors during commissioning.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Systems. 5+ years mechanical coordination experience (high-rise preferred). Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination software.
