Drain Technician

to join our team and lead

kitchen stack cleaning projects

in high-rise condominium buildings.

Summary



As the Lead Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing kitchen stack cleaning and descaling work in high-rise condo buildings. This role requires strong technical knowledge of drainage systems, leadership ability to guide apprentices of junior technicians, and excellent customer service when dealing with property managers and residents.

Responsibilities



Lead and perform

kitchen stack cleaning, descaling, and flushing

of drainage systems in high-rise buildings. Operate and maintain drain cleaning equipment ( snakes, jetters, vaccums, descaling tools). Diagnose blockages, grease buildup, and pipe deterioration, and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with property managers, engineers, and condo boards regarding project scope and updates. Train and supervise junior technicians and apprentices on proper cleaning procedures. Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and building code regulations. Maintain accurate job reports, including before-and-after documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in high-rise kitchen stack cleaning, descaling, or drain maintenance.

Licensed Plumber OR experienced Drain Technician

with minimum 3-5 years experience. Strong understanding of plumbing systems, vertical stacks, and drain infrastructure. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and buildings plan. Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. Comfort with using and maintaining specialized plumbing/ descaling equipment. A valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
