, a trusted local electrical contractor and licenced Generac generator service and warranty dealer, is hiring a Mechanical Service Technician to support our lead mechanic and service team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working on a variety of equipment.

You'll be involved in servicing Generac home standby generators, repairing and maintaining large agricultural generator systems, and completing fleet maintenance on our work vans and trucks.

Responsibilities

Assist with servicing and troubleshooting Generac home standby generators Support repairs and maintenance on agricultural generators and farm-related equipment Perform routine fleet maintenance (oil changes, brakes, inspections, small repairs) Help diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs under direction Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Assist with generator installations, part pick-ups, and general shop tasks Complete basic service reports and documentation

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude -- experience with engines, small engines, diesel, or generators is an asset Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required Valid G-Class driver's licence (clean abstract preferred) Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Experience in automotive, generator servicing, heavy equipment, or farm equipment is a bonus but not required Willingness to learn -- training provided, including Generac systems
