About the Opportunity:

The Site Supervisor reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of Plumbing, HVAC-R, and Fire Protection, Sheet Metal workers as well as sub-contractors in a mechanical construction projects. This role requires strong mechanical, technical knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. What you will do:

Site Leadership & Administrative:

Supervise and coordinate with trade foremen. Liaise with clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns. Review and approve timecards. Generate daily reports as required Maintain a project journal Capture project photos

Project Management:

Develop and/or maintain mechanical construction schedules Provide production targets and review performance Provide lookahead schedules in granular detail Coordinate and review project drawings Coordinate material deliveries Develop material lists and ensure materials are on site intime for site work Generate RFIs as required to clarify scope and document changes Assist in requirements to submit change orders Identify out of scope work and report to PM Supervise Subcontractors, Journeymen, and Apprentices Ensure that project information (RFI Responses, SI, Changes) is shared with subtrades and all employees as required.

Safety and Quality:

Ensure health and safety of all workers under your supervision Ensure all work is performed as per the IPH OH&S Manual and uphold safety standards Ensure workers are aware of all known hazards and are trained in the tasks they are assigned. Report all incidents, and near misses, support and participate in incident investigations Conduct Weekly Safety Meetings, daily toolbox meeting Review and Audit FLHAs Engage in the creation of the project ITP Ensure documents are completed to meet the requirements of the project quality plan and ITP Report quality issues, support and participate in Quality investigations Ensure installations with code compliances

Employee Development and Continuous Improvement:

Mentor and develop site staff. Identify and report employee performance gaps to project manager Participate in employee reviews Report disciplinary issues to Project Manager and support in performance management Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide input on constructability.
