Perform engineering calculations and stamp drawing syou would be helping to develop our OEM sector by designing, building, and supporting water treatment containment units. The position mainly involves: A) Qualifying engineering designs and fabrication standards through appropriate engineering codes, and best engineering practices B) Developing reliability and maintenance plans for DBE water treatment products C) Ensuring product compliance with client and jurisdictional requirements D) Providing quality management documentation to clients E) Providing proposal, contract and turnover packages for clients and suppliers Technical Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering calculations and stamp drawings
  • Approve fabrication drawings and improve drawing standards
  • Perform stress analyses and reliability studies
  • Apply appropriate ASME Codes to engineering design and fabrication practices. Some codes include: ASME B31.3, ASME VIII, ASME IX, ASME X.
  • Evaluate and approve weld procedures and other quality documents (such as ITPs and quality manuals)
  • Equipment selection and procurement
Interpersonal Requirements
  • Detail oriented and very organized
  • Takes initiative and welcomes responsibility (Such as becoming an APEGA responsible member)
  • Develops and manages various scopes of work
  • Ability to be resourceful and think analytically under pressure
  • Comfortable and flexible being in the field for 1 to 3 weeks at time to provide commissioning support and operator training. Approximately 10% of travel required annually
  • Teach and lead others
  • Strong work ethic and desire to understand technical documents
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher
  • Professional Engineer
  • Quality Management and ASME code experience
  • Compensation will be based on how much criteria the candidate can meet and years of experience
