What role you will play in our team
Imperial is recruiting a Mechanical Integrity Engineer-in-Training to join the engineering department at our Strathcona Refinery in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You will be assigned to the Mechanical Integrity group and join a dynamic team of Engineers and Inspectors to meet the company's safety and reliability targets.
What you will do
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the reliability and operability of fixed equipment assets (piping, valves, towers, tanks, furnaces, cooling towers, infrastructure, etc.), designing new/repairing existing pressure containing systems to meet code/jurisdictional requirements, analysis of existing systems to determine fitness for service and remaining life, develop detailed execution plans for new/replacement components & provide field support during the execution phase, quantify equipment risks to assist the business team in performing risk-based maintenance prioritization, and making recommendations for equipment/business improvement
