Role Description:



Reporting to the Managing Partner (Ben Mills), the Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with the delivery of core technical services: mechanical engineering design for energy retrofits and new construction projects, energy studies (ASHRAE L1 - L3), and prime consultant roles where Impact leads a team of professionals to complete buildings engineering projects.

The Mechanical Engineer will act as Engineer of Record for many of the projects in our northern portfolio, as well as other geographical locations, and will work with our distributed team seated in Vancouver.

The Managing Partner will provide a key support role in providing technical leadership on complex and specialty services.

Responsibilities:



Provide external and internal facing project management for engineering projects Client relationship management and primary point of contact through project delivery Lead design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems Manage project implementation and construction administration Deliver engineering design documents, engineered drawings and reports Manage client communications and represent Impact in project meetings Maintain a robust understanding of engineering technical competencies as well as utility incentive programs, and utilize knowledge to provide strategic advice Create proposals, project plans, and manage resources to meet invoicing targets

Qualifications:



Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or 3+ year EIT, experience in British Columbia considered an asset Minimum 3-years experience in HVAC system design for buildings Energy study experience is considered an asset Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is considered an asset Industry relationships in BC and / or northern / interior BC are considered an asset Previous team lead or other management experience is considered an asset
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
