Engineering Technologist
to join our growing team.
Role Overview
You'll work in a small team to design, prototype, and improve automated packaging and process equipment. The role is hands-on, blending mechanical design, manufacturing know-how, and automation problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models and drawings in
SolidWorks
, including parts, assemblies, and fabrication packages.
Collaborate on mechanical and process design for custom packaging and production systems.
Support prototyping, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
Assist with documentation, BOMs, and revisions as projects evolve.
Interface with fabricators, machinists, and controls engineers to ensure design intent is achieved.
Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Mechanical Engineering Technology
,
Mechatronics
, or related field.
Proficiency in SolidWorks
is essential (experience with large assemblies preferred).
Strong understanding of fabrication methods, machining processes, and mechanical design principles.
Experience building or assembling machinery and prototypes.
Bonus skills:
PLC programming
(ladder logic or structured text).
Servo and pneumatic system integration.
Exposure to automated packaging, filling, or labeling systems.

Practical and able to bridge design intent with real-world manufacturing constraints.
Organized and efficient capable of managing multiple design files, projects, and priorities.
