Job Description

HRYCAY Consulting Engineers Inc. (HCEI), a leading Canadian forensic engineering firm providing accident investigation and analysis services for over 30 years in Canada and the United States, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technologist to work out of our Windsor office.

The successful candidates would be responsible for supporting our Lead Forensic Engineers by creating drawings, assisting with analysis and completing onsite inspections as needed.

Requirements & Desired Qualifications

Eligible to work in Canada and currently residing in Canada Willing to relocate within 40 minutes of Windsor, ON Must have completed a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma in the field of Mechanical Engineering Must have previous experience with CAD software, MS Word, Excel Able to work in hot and cold conditions Able to work individually or as part of a team Hands on mechanically inclined individual

Duties and Responsibilities

Complete vehicle and site drawings using CAD software to create analysis figures Compile information to complete files Compile data for clients including i.e., write letters, create drawings, compile engine download data, create photo albums from inspections, write analysis memos Complete engineering calculations as required Download Airbag Control Modules (ACM) from passenger vehicles, Engine Control Units (ECU) from heavy vehicles Knowledge of heavy commercial and/or automotive mechanical systems with emphasis on braking systems and/or on-board computer diagnostic components Complete further training to advance in the field of forensic automotive accident reconstruction Use of various design and engineering tools such as Cyclone, Faro, Leica 3D scanner, AutoCAD, Scene, and Rhino
