This is a 6-month term position with the possibility of an extension to a longer term or full-time role.
Responsibilities:
The Engineer/Developer will solve technical problems and develop new products. They will develop test procedures, requirements, and specifications. They will produce documentation, descriptions, BOMs, and CAD drawings in support of products for the mobile equipment industry.
The Engineer/Developer 3 is an intermediate level position and will work within a cross functional team to consistently deliver mechanical designs on concurrent projects. The Engineer/Developer 3 will work with leadership to identify initiatives, lead projects, support to companywide and department specific technical and safety guidelines and develops lean manufacturing skills including maintain 5-S workplace.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years of work-related experience
Competencies:
Mechanical design for plastic parts including knowledge of tooling and injection molding
Creation of design, installation, and assembly drawings
Material selection and parts tolerance
Delivering product designs to a Lean Production environment
Dedicated, motivated, and energetic cross-functional team member
Committed to continuous improvement throughout the business
Able to provide clear concise communications to multiple stakeholders
Experience with SOLIDWORKS and PDM is required
