We are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to our R&D team in La Salle, MB!

At Tank Traders we are looking to maintain our competitive edge within the industry and are developing a new product to introduce to the market, and we want you to be apart of it! As part of our Research & Development team, you'll play a critical role in both the development of this product and in upgrading the processes needed to support it.

hat you'll do in the role:

Drive the mechanical design of innovative new products and production lines, from initial concept to final manufacturing-ready designs. Create, analyze, and present detailed 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) and compelling design proposals. Conduct detailed engineering analysis of equipment, components, and/or processes Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate mechanical and electrical systems Provide on-the-ground support to the fabrication team during prototype development and manufacturing Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for manufacturing completed designs Oversee the project, meet deadlines and manage the flow of information

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering degree Professional Engineer certification Minimum 5 years of experience in a product development role
Skills & Experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking Proven project management capabilities Expertise in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software Experience with sheet metal fabrication and machining processes Strong research abilities, comfortable with finding and citing research sources Familiarity with component costing and sourcing Prior experience designing industrial or automated equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
