Role



Responsible for ensuring company's quality standards are met through engineering methods utilizing best of practice principles. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for product development, testing, modifications, continuous improvement, bill of materials and creating solutions for technical problems. Post sales technical support in the office and occasional travel may be required. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities



Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Liaise between the engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure all manufacturing and assembly information is accurate and up to date, while meeting company specifications and complying with regulations.

Creating Bill of Materials

Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.

Improve manufacturing processes.

Completes projects by training and guiding technicians/operators.

Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve those deficiencies.

Devises plans to ensure all inquiries are done in a timely manner for each project.

Project manage the research and development of new products and procedures.

Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials.

Prepare plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications.

Develop engineering calculations, diagrams, and technical reports.

Ensure projects are completed on-time.

Performs quality control checks, ensuring the safety and effectiveness or reliability of the product.

Perform initial and ongoing design reviews.

Review, or modify product designs.

Logging and resolving technical inquiries.

Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Collaborate with Project Managers to develop an accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects.

He/she should assist engineering and production team in overcoming challenges of part design for ease of manufacture, assembly and end user installations and maintenance.

The Mechanical Engineer should be able to work with all cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, marketing)

The individual should be able to pay attention to details, have good organization skills, have the ability to prioritize tasks and be able to work independently, under pressure and with tight deadlines.

Maintain and enforce a clean and orderly work area

Wear and enforce proper safety equipment and follow safe working practices

Exercise caution to avoid accidents and prevent injuries

All other duties as assigned by direct report or owners of the Company

Work Conditions



The professionals may need to work in the interiors of the office where they may require to have high degree of flexibility, as their work involves a lot of sitting, standing, bending, walking, etc.

They may require manual dexterity to operate the office machines and other industrial equipment.

Overtime as required.

Lifting or moving up to 25 lbs may be required.

Work is performed in a combination of environments.

Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree or 3-year advanced engineering diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Design or Electrical Engineering

3 - 5 years related work experience

Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations

Advanced skills in critical software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Solidworks

Expertise in data and problem analysis, creative problem solving and design thinking

Up-to-date knowledge and technical skills required to design and operate our core products and services

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
