TYCROP

is looking for a

Mechanical Engineer

to join our team in the Fraser Valley (we also have locations in Calgary and Texas)

As part of our Mechanical Engineering team, you will help with our product lines. Tasks range from new product concept development, designing and engineering, manufacturing support, product optimization to commissioning and testing. You will work closely with our in-house multi-discipline engineering department, software, manufacturing, assembly and testing analysis.

Responsibilities:

Prepare CAD engineering designs, drawings and specifications Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers, including review and approval of designs, calculations and cost estimates Document product intent and verify conformance to customer requirements Translate customer needs and value opportunities into timely, cost-effective and tangible concept features and products Verify of product fitness-for- purpose, cost-effectiveness, compliance and risk mitigation Provide product engineering support to TYCROP sales activities Provide appropriate instruction to manufacturing for efficient steady-state production Provide engineering support to any relevant stakeholder throughout the product lifecycle Develop project and operational plans and monitoring and control of project and operational activities to ensure compliance with time, cost and quality objectives Document best practices and experiential learning Create and maintain customer product documentation

Specific Skills:

Excellent technical communication Proficient in standard MS office software Knowledgeable in mechanical engineering design Proficient in assessment of appropriate DFMA Proficient in assessment of structural integrity, which may require the application of classical structural engineering calculation or finite element analysis Possess basic understanding of electrical software & control systems Able to design, conduct and document engineering experiments and prototyping activities Excellent project and resource management skills

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Registered as a Professional Engineer in BC, or eligible for such registration Registered as an EIT or P.Eng. with EGBC
