We are seeking a
Licensed Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng., Ontario)
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical system design and review across commercial, office, and restaurant projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review HVAC, plumbing, gas, and related mechanical systems in compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and applicable standards.
Prepare and review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to provide professional technical support.
Conduct site inspections and coordination, resolving mechanical system issues during construction.
Issue stamped engineering documents, including mechanical drawings, compliance statements, and Letters of Completion.
Assist clients and authorities with municipal approvals, permit applications, and compliance processes.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, specializing in Mechanical Engineering (
mandatory
).
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code (OBC), ASHRAE standards, and relevant regulations.
Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design, preferably in commercial, restaurant, or office projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC/plumbing design software.
Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills.
Experience with municipal permit applications for commercial/restaurant projects is considered an asset.
