Mechanical Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Projects

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our aggressively growing team in Southern Alberta. In this role, you will lead mechanical design for various projects including, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy recovery. Working within a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary team, you will have the autonomy to drive projects from concept to completion across commercial, industrial, municipal and subdivision developments.

As a key member of our team, you will lead the comprehensive mechanical design for small, medium, and large-scale multidisciplinary project.

Responsibilities

Design complex systems including HVAC, plumbing, sewer, fire protection, energy recovery, and hydronic heating. Handle the integration of specialty equipment for both new builds and major renovations. Prepare planning schedules, monitor resource usage, and proactively manage deadlines to prevent cost over-runs. Provide vital support to electrical and structural disciplines and serve as the technical liaison between clients, contractors, and regulatory officials. Provide support to electrical, structural, and other disciplines in the development of design documents. Conduct on-site reviews of construction and renovation projects, to observe and evaluate the progress and quality of the work being performed.

Requirements

Eligible to register as a P.Eng., P.L.Eng. or P.Tech.(Eng.) in Alberta At least 5 years of relevant experience Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience as a HVAC designer or similar role. Experience with building mechanical design. Knowledge of current requirements of Regulatory authorities. Experience dealing with contractors. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work with minimal oversight and demonstrated self-initiative. Well-developed client management expertise.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
