What You Bring:
A degree in mechanical engineering.
At least
5 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
(engaged with shop floor activities).
Training in a lean-manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of Solidworks or similar 3D-modelling software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate ideas effectively and operate as a valued team member in support of manufacturing goals.
A continuous improvement approach to all aspects of work.
What You'll Do
Design and develop new products, with input from our senior management, product experts and customers.
Update and improve existing drawings and products.
Collaborate with our Engineering and Production team, providing input on drawings and approval, as product familiarity strengthens.
Identify and assist in throughput improvements, including designing and improving processes, assembly jigs, tools and fixtures.
Aid in manufacturing process improvement planning.
Ensure Quality Management processes and controls are met, quickly dealing with non-conformance parts and equipment, and implementing quick, effective solutions to WIP.
Participate in development and implementation of ISO requirements.
Embrace a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of work.
