Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III

Join a dynamic team focused on developing innovative endoscope products for airway management and bronchoscopy. This role is essential for supporting upcoming projects in the R&D team.
Responsibilities

• Work on a project-based team, prototyping, testing, and making necessary adjustments.
• Communicate effectively with international vendors to ensure the manufacturability of products.
• Possess strong knowledge of plastic injection molds.
• Use SolidWorks for design work and contribute to the new product development process.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer developing products, preferably in the medical device field.
• Eligibility and willingness to pursue EIT and P.Eng.
• Strong knowledge and experience with plastic injection molding for mass manufacturing.
• Experience in designing 3-5 complex injection molded parts, focusing on rigid plastic injection molded design.
• Proficiency in using SolidWorks for design, though other design software experience may be considered with strong injection mold design expertise.
• Practical product development experience over an academic research background.
• Interpersonal skills to work well in a team, involving prototyping, testing, and vendor communication.

Work Environment
This position is fully on-site at the Burnaby office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $97000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
