In this important role, you're a part of an engaged engineering team that works together to provide support to the manufacturing groups by initiating, designing, developing, optimizing and problem-solving manufacturing and supporting processes.

Essential Accountabilities:

Provide mechanical engineering guidance in a manufacturing environment, supporting day-to[1]day operations and project design, installation, and optimization of equipment.

Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable corporate policies.

Develop and implement products, processes, materials, and systems that improve process capabilities to deliver a reduction in defects and variability.

Use engineering principles, knowledge, and/or scientific analysis to develop equipment and industrial processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines, and promote the safety and well-being of mill personnel.

Use Kimberly Clark systems to document projects and day to day work to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.

Define and solve technical issues that impede the achievement of unit objectives, as well as identifying opportunities to improve.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university.

Sufficient computer skills to use or learn Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, PIMS, and EBP.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Knowledge of mechanical systems including general mechanical equipment, hydraulics, structural design, and associated government codes and regulations.

Ability to work closely and communicate well with trades people.

Ability to work in an industrial environment (noise, dust, moving equipment). May include long periods of sitting and/or standing, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, carrying up to 40 lbs., climbing, twisting, stooping, etc. Scheduled hours may vary based on 24/7 operation.

Willingness to flex schedule to support personal and business objectives.

Availability for "call ins" to support business objectives.

Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

Lean Six Sigma certification.

Familiarity with industrial design software such as AutoCAD and Solid Works.

Experience in technical or operational assignments.
