The Motioneering team, in RWDI's Guelph office, is currently accepting applications from 4th-year students for a Mechanical Engineering co-op position for

May to December 2026

Key Responsibilities



You will be provided with an opportunity to provide technical support for engineering projects, including:

Project planning/co-ordination: work with the engineering staff to plan and coordinate technical aspects of the design and implementation of damping systems for skyscrapers and bridges 3D solid modeling: create new and work with existing 3D models 2D drawings: produce drawings that clearly communicate design intent for preliminary and detailed designs Design analysis: Assist with design and strength of materials calculations, modifications, component sourcing, and documentation of engineering results Assist with the development and testing of damping systems. Documentation: Assist with the preparation of proposals, marketing materials, and technical papers

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Background and qualifications should include:

4th-year mechanical engineering students specializing in mechanical design Experience using SolidWorks (3D modeling and 2D drawings) Excellent analytical ability Good communication and organizational skills Strong computer skills required Ability to organize and work through multiple tasks with overlapping schedules Accurate in calculations, completeness of data, and adherence to prescribed analysis, design, and computational methods Practical, get-your-hands-dirty aptitude demonstrated through work or hobby experience is an asset
