The Opportunity

Shape the future of Canada's built environment as a Mechanical Engineer within WSP's Buildings M&E team. This role offers exposure to diverse projects--from commercial spaces and retail environments to niche healthcare clinics and specialty facilities. Many assignments involve multi-location programs, giving you the chance to work with national standards and coordination challenges that go beyond single-site work. You'll collaborate with architects, landlords, and contractors to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions that make a real impact.

Your Impact

Design mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection using Revit and AutoCAD. Perform heating and cooling load calculations, select equipment, and develop layouts for ductwork, piping, and sprinkler systems. Apply codes and standards such as OBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA to ensure compliance and quality. Support construction administration through RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site visits. Coordinate with electrical and other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.

The Skills That Set You Apart

7+ years of mechanical design experience in building systems. Proficiency in Revit (mandatory) and HVAC calculation tools like HAP. Strong knowledge of OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA standards. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading coordination with project teams and draftspersons is an asset.
