Location: Brampton, Ontario \xe2\x80\x93 Hybrid
What you will be doing/ What you must have:
Able to perform mechanical sizing calculations in order to select appropriate hardware for design. i.e. gears, bearings, fasteners, bushings, materials etc
Able to perform preliminary sizing of complex mechanisms in order to reduce mass and meet strength requirements (ie. material selection free-body diagrams, basic FEM)
Must be able to review and understand technical requirements and determine how they impact design of a mechanical system
Willingness to go above and beyond and self-learn the requirements for design for space environment
Must be able to engage all team members in order to solve complex technical problems
Able to coordinate and clearly communicate with different stakeholders. Coordinate meetings and ensure stakeholders in order to help resolve technical issues
Experience in several or all aspects of engineering development is an asset (i.e. Requirements setting/compliance planning, clean sheet design, engineering testing, component integration and delivery)
