Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Designer in the Mechanical ENgineering Consultancy sector in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Avalon Mechanical Consultants Ltd. currently has an opening for a new Mechanical Designer in our Nanaimo office. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Revit and AutoCAD as well as producing construction documents, plans, and calculations for mechanical building systems (fire suppression, plumbing, and HVAC). Total rewards:

$26.00 - $30.00 hourly

A typical day:

Drafting and design of fire suppression, HVAC, and plumbing systems for new buildings and renovations:
HVAC Systems, including heat load calculations, equipment selection and distribution sizing
Fire suppression design, including hydraulic calculations
Plumbing systems as per BC Plumbing Code

Successful candidates will have:

Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and ambition to learn
An understanding of plumbing systems, as per BC Plumbing Code
