Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
The Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to design and create 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX within the robotics department. The role involves identifying problem areas, proposing design modifications or improvements, and approving mechanical designs. The candidate will support manufacturing processes and validate designs by conducting tests on product hardware under mechanical loading environments. Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Generate analysis reports and develop mechanical test plans and reports.
• Identify risks, propose solutions, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Investigate problems or failures during development and testing.
• Support manufacturing processes and validate/prove designs through testing.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience.
• Experience designing machined parts and drivetrain components.
• Proficiency in creating 3D models in NX and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in Aerospace or Robotics is a plus.
• Ability to pass Controlled Goods and reliability clearance.
• Experience in relevant industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Military and Defense, Robotics, or Medical Devices.

Work Environment
The role offers flexible start times with core hours from 9am to 3pm, requiring a 40-hour work week. Candidates can work from home two days a week but are expected to attend the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for critical meetings. The work environment is collaborative, with friendly colleagues, a well-equipped cafeteria, and cubicle workspaces. The candidate will work with the Design Office team, collaborating closely with a senior Engineer, a Program Manager, and other team members on assigned programs. Job Type & Location
