We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer.
This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact by designing and developing custom OEM and mobile equipment solutions from concept through production, supporting innovative machinery used in real-world, high-demand applications.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for OEM and mobile equipment applications
Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
Support full product lifecycle including concept development, prototyping, testing, and production release
Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and basic FEA as required
Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to support build and assembly
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
3+ years of mechanical design experience within an OEM or mobile equipment environment
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software)
Experience designing welded structures, sheet metal, and machined components
Ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly methods
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with mobile equipment, heavy equipment, off-road machinery, or industrial machinery
Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or power transmission systems
Experience working in a custom or low-to-mid volume manufacturing environment
Familiarity with CSA, ISO, or other relevant industry standards
Hands-on experience supporting shop floor or prototype builds
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
