We listen to those we work with, our partners, and those who use our designs and products. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our team. Specifically, a talented individual who will lead the design, prototyping and manufacturing of our mechanical designs. The role will involve: - focusing on the mechanical design (current enhancements and future versions) of Neoglacia systems, including R&D, validation, manufacturing and logistics;
- spending significant time with researchers and partners to both understand current needs and requirements and help to craft a research plan and future product roadmap;
- building out and leading the mechanical, manufacturing and manufacturing support engineering teams as needed;
- designing and overseeing the prototyping and fabrication of early designs, including the testing and validation of candidate designs;
- working with and managing various design, mechanical and manufacturing partners for the fabrication and management of various parts and modules from early designs and prototypes to commercialisation to managing our systems\' complete lifecycle;
- working closely with the electrical, software and scientific teams in developing, implementing and testing various system solutions;
- presenting designs, concepts and research both within the company and to the wider scientific and technical community. Requirements - Experience in full product lifecycle development - taking a product from concept to commercialisation to lifecycle management;
- Experience and high levels of skill in mechanical design and design for validation and calibration;
- High level of competencein Autodesk Fusion360 or a similar software tool;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of, and supporting, a broad, multi-disciplinaryteam;
- A degree in mechanical engineering or several years of equivalent experience designing mechatronic systems; and
