Role You are a creative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion to own and develop designs from concept to commercialization. Your collaborative role includes design of concepts of high-speed machinery through 3D modelling with SolidWorks\xe2\x84\xa2. Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Lead new product development including existing systems evaluation. \xc2\xb7 Conduct design reviews, identify and implement improvements to existing designs. \xc2\xb7 Develop machine design concepts for custom designed special purpose equipment. \xc2\xb7 Prepare detailed machine design including preparation of machine layouts, detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings. \xc2\xb7 Prepare BOM, system administration and project & systems documentation. \xc2\xb7 Specify and source mechanical commercial components. Requirements \xc2\xb7 Mechanical Engineering Degree or Equivalent. \xc2\xb7 8+ years of design experience in an automation and custom machine building environment. \xc2\xb7 Possess a working knowledge of industrial automation designs, assembly, testing and manufacturing processes. \xc2\xb7 Detail oriented, possess efficient organizational skills to follow timelines, prioritize, multitask to manage multiple designs or projects simultaneously. \xc2\xb7 Experience with SolidWorks\xe2\x84\xa2 in a machine design capacity. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of PDM document management system.
