Mechanical Design Assistant (4 Month Summer Term) - Antec Controls

We are looking for a student who is technically inclined, who thrives on new challenges, and who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

Supporting product designers in each stage of the design process Assembling prototypes and setting up test spaces Performing and documenting testing both benchtop and in mock-up test spaces Analyzing and interpreting testing results Supporting the creation of design documentation Providing design support for manufacturing

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

Enrolled in post-secondary education for Mechanical Engineering or Technologist or equivalent Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for detail A co-operative team player attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment An aptitude and willingness to learn new skills A high level of critical thinking and accountability Experience with hand tools and wiring considered an asset
