We are seeking a skilled Mechanical BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, ensuring that all project designs are accurately represented and coordinated across various disciplines. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and proficiency in various design software tools.
Responsibilities
To maintain the BIM/Interferences drawing process based on Sprint guidelines
Complete review of mechanical specifications/Shop drawings and contract drawings to identify compliance requirements and potential design and coordination issues.
Generate REVIT families based on reviewed shop drawings,
Model mechanical services (HVAC, P&D & Hydronic Piping),
Coordinate mechanical services with other trades to reach a clash free model,
Review interference drawings for proper installation of piping and related services
Issue installation, sleeving and pre-fab drawings.
Attend construction BIM meetings with GC, sub-trade and other trades.
Adhere to LOD and LOI of the project including BIM Execution Plans.
Review incoming and outgoing information to ensure proper exchange in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
Maintain proper paper and electronic job files
Ensure all client correspondence is on time and completed.
Assist with timely completion of project closeout requirements including O& M Manuals and "As Built" drawings (Red line to CADD).
Client promotion to maximize client trust and happiness.
Skills
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Procore.
2-3 years of BIM coordination experience on complex projects is an advantage.
Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in mechanical engineering is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
A solid grasp of BIM processes and standards
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information
