About the role
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling semi-finished or finished mechanical components and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings and assembly instructions to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, and/or automated equipment (e.g., torque wrenches, drills, belt conveyors).
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions with high precision.
  • Inspect components and sub-assemblies for dimensional accuracy, defect tolerance, and alignment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Log production data, quality metrics, and any deviations in the appropriate production tracking system (e.g., ERP, MES).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 6S, Kaizen) to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Communicate with Production Supervisors, Engineers, and Quality Assurance about part variations, shortages, or quality issues.
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of assembly equipment and tools.

Generally has 1 or more years of related experience and holds a High School diploma or equivalent.
