JBS Equipment is a rapidly growing manufacturing company located in beautiful Mission, BC. We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various components of trucks/trailers according to specifications, ensuring high-quality efficiency in production.

Most of the work involves installing hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, along with the general final assembly of gearboxes, components, and other bolt-on items.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand assembly requirements Assemble trailer components, including frames, axles, suspension systems, walls, bulkheads, extensions, and flooring Install electrical systems, lighting, and brake components according to specifications Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fasten, weld, and secure trailer parts Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications Identify and report any defects or issues in parts or assembled units Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures Collaborate with team members to optimize the assembly process and meet production targets Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality Document completed work instructions and maintain accurate records of assemblies

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years of experience in assembling mechanical products or their equivalent Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment Must have required tools and equipment outlined in the JBS Equipment Tool List Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic components Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Excellent attention to detail Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
