SUMMARY

We are looking to fill 1 open vacancy for Mechanical Assembler on Day (1) Shift. This position will be on an open temporary contract-based term. The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for maintaining the flow of product through the manual assembly processes of the production. This position reports to the Production Leader.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain the flow of product through the Final Assembly & Integration processes production Identify and resolve Process / Equipment / Tools requirements with the Production Leader To be trained by Senior mechanical operators on processes such as epoxy application, any gluing process, heat sink application etc. Align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates Install electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand soldering and hand tools Use precision measuring tools or equipment Move products to final QC or the next step in accordance with the priorities set by the Production Leader or designate Verify board assembly prior to wave with the BOM, customer specs and View Station To make sure first off for mechanical is being done completely Ensure all the problems found during the first off inspection have been highlighted to the Production Leader and continue only after the manufacturing engineer has looked at it already Raise issues/concerns with parts, orientation and any other challenges - obtain details and confirm with Supervisor that relevant details have been added to the View Station prior to running the future jobs Verify all processes are performed to the documentation Make sure housekeeping is being done at all stations and is maintained at all times Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through the system, read instructions in the training aid for any quires Always scan board using View Station Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Production Leader Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects Perform other duties as required

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of High School required Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole components, drawings and BOMS Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control Electro-mechanical knowledge Experienced in Box assembly as well as test Able to lift at least 30Ibs Good work habits and housekeeping IPC Standards and ISO 9002: 1 year Mechanical Assembly

WORK HOURS

Normal scheduled hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Day Shift Overtime may be scheduled from time to time based on operational and business needs

LOCATION

The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A at 195 Royal Crest Court and/or Building B at 3930 14th Avenue) Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate
