Description:Mechanical Assembler III - Customer Service Engineering Representative FAL - Montreal, QC

Location: Montreal, QC

Term: Contract position - 24 months (extendable)

Shift: Monday to Friday; 37 hours per week

Pay Rate: $38 \xe2\x80\x93 $41 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

• Represents the company at customer locations providing a suite of technical support services that assists customers with delivery and operation

Responsibilities:

• Perform re-work on the Customer Final Assembly Line (FAL) for reported snags, removal/replacement of components, travelled work, vendor assist and retrofits
• Liaise with Engineering to resolve technical issues
• Liaise with Programs for planning of work instructions, spares and tools
• Respond to customer technical inquiries in a timely manner relating to non-conformances of the product on the FAL
• Manage customer issues to ensure no disruptions or work stoppages on the Final Assembly Line
• Establish trends to develop fixes in order to reduce warranty costs
• Planning and implementing retrofits/modifications on the FAL
• Provide on-site quality assurance support
• Participate in meetings with customer for planning of upcoming and outstanding work
• Be available to work overtime, weekend and holidays to support the customer planning if required
• Provide technical assistance in the field at the Operator/airlines or other FAL locations
• Available to travel at short notice and be prepared to be in the field for periods of up to several weeks
• 24/7 support for the FAL

Qualifications:

• Licensed AME strongly preferred
• Requires 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance
• Ability to read and understand drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation
• Detailed knowledge of landing gear systems and equipment
• Ability to self-inspect work utilizing strong attention to detail
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to continuously changing work conditions and ensuring safe work practices
