The Mechanical Assembler/ Developer will be responsible for assembling and developing mechanical systems in conjunction with our mechanical design team.

We're seeking someone with a strong engineering background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, assembling mechanical and hydraulic systems, troubleshooting components, and ensuring high-quality, reliable installations.

Key Responsibilities:



Read and interpret Engineering drawings/schematics to build and install various mechanical and pneumatic assemblies, circuits and systems. Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated and purchased parts to form subassemblies or finished products per mechanical assembly drawings. Assembly of precision machine components with some machining of parts (milling, turning) as required. Completes on-time quality work with minimal supervision. Troubleshoots mechanical issues. Works within project timelines and budgets. Ability to design, install and troubleshoot pneumatic circuits. Tracks all modifications to the drawing package. Works with the electrical build and programming departments to coordinate final development of machinery. Communicates the status of their projects and any issues and solutions found. Uses their experience and the experience of other team members to propose solutions that will effectively integrate new systems to existing industrial systems. Available to work overtime and participate in installation at customer site (domestic and international travel). Communicates professionally and effectively with coworkers and customers. Follows all BCCI policies and adhere to our health and safety protocols and procedures. Able to work independently and within a team. Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System. Completes general and any other tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience:



Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Equivalent Specialized Experience. 2-5 years experience in automation.

Qualifications & Skills:



Experience using SOLIDWORKS Familiar with operation of machine shop equipment (lathe / mill ) Skilled in using hand/power tools. A driven individual who has effective problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. Ability to work independently, within a team environment and actively participate in team meetings. Ability to use technology, resources, and time in an efficient matter. Must be able to lift 50+lbs and carry 40+lbs. Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Standard First Aid/CPR-C (asset).
