Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanical assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all products meet quality standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.

Duties

Assemble components according to specifications and blueprints. Fabricate parts as needed using hand tools and power tools. Operate forklifts to transport materials within the shop safely. Sanding and grinding of components prior to assembly. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
Assist in moving finished products to the quality control area for testing.

Identify product defects or issues in assembly processes and report them to the lead hand or supervisors.

Support other assemblers, lead hands, or supervisors as needed.

Rework assembled components and products based on engineering- specified modifications.

Experience

Previous experience in assembly or fabrication is required. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, BOM's, product specifications, and understand tolerances to determine assembly operations. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, squares and measuring devices. Strong mechanical knowledge is a must, enabling effective troubleshooting of assembly issues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
