Salary: $28-$36

Description:

Permanent, full-time position;
The place of work is in Nunavik;

Each trip lasts about 5 weeks (min. 35 days);

Overtime available;

Paid expenses (food, accommodation, flight, travel expenses);

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager - Vehicle Parts & Service, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and small engines along with maintaining the garage inventory, ordering parts and tools.

- Maintain regular and small engine vehicles in good working condition by doing preventive and regular maintenance and record work performed in our service log as required and requested by our customers;
- Evaluate all other requests for service from co-op members or external customers, schedule and complete the repairs;
- Maintain the latest technologies to be able to perform repairs as needed;
- Maintain equipment so that it complies with safety regulations;
- Keep the garage in good working order by cleaning, organizing and eliminating old and defective equipment and parts;
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and attending FCNQ-sponsored training sessions;
- Any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor or to support the co-ops and the other departments.

Requirements:

- A DEP in Mechanics is preferred however must have high school certificate or equivalent experience;
- Possess a mechanics competency card (CPA license);
- Must have a valid class 5 driver\'s license;
- SAAQ certification (an asset);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Autonomous and versatile;
- Able to communicate in French and in English, both verbally and written.
