Here is a little history regarding our company:

Modern Construction (1983) Limited was formed in 1945. The company that is fully employee owned and has been in business for a total of 75 years. Over the years, Modern has built hundred miles of highways, numerous traffic interchanges, concrete substructures, dams, causeways, bridges, wharves, breakwaters and airport runways. In addition, we operate the two largest commercial quarries in the Greater Moncton Area, manufacture and sell explosives and operate two of the area's asphalt plants.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. We accept both Apprentice or licenced Mechanic. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, and heavy trucks will be essential in performing your duties effectively. Responsibilities:

-Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on vehicles and equipment.

-Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotation, and filter replacements.

-Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve problems.

-Operate Heavy equipment.

-Assemble and disassemble parts to repair or replace faulty components.

-Keep Accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Mechanic in an automotive or truck repair shop or dealership.

-Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.

-Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as loaders, forklift, or excavators etc.

-Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

-Strong customer service skills.
