We are currently looking for a skilled mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to join our team. This is steady afternoons from 2 to 10 pm. As the Mechanic on second shift, this is a great opportunity for someone who can work autonomously, troubleshoot equipment issues on the fly, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to support all building, equipment and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow preventive maintenance schedules. Collaborate with production, quality, fulfillment and warehousing teams to support smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment (pet food or food processing experience a strong asset). Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently. Preferable to have experience with electrical, machining, welding, etc. Ability to diagnose and repair. Trade certification (e.g., Millwright or other mechanical/electrical trade) is a strong asset. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
